COGNITIVE TRANSCENDENCE
LEVEL 1 TRAINING
September 3 - 6, 2026 | Vancouver, B.C.
Cognitive Transcendence Training – Level 1
September 3 - 6, 2026 | Four-Day Foundational Intensive
This is the first training in a four-part pathway toward becoming a Cognitive Transcendence practitioner. It is designed for clinicians, graduate psychology students, and individuals who want a clear, structured way to understand how people think, respond, and relate.
This training offers two tracks:
A Professional Track for practitioners and psychology-based graduate students focused on clinical application
A Public Track for individuals interested in understanding the framework for personal insight and development
This training is active and immersive. You are not positioned as a passive listener; you are engaged as an observer and analyst in real time. Each component is designed to develop your ability to examine how psychological patterns are established, sustained, and how shifts and release occur through awareness and curiosity, supported by precise observation and application.
A central premise of Cognitive Transcendence is that something remains in a system as long as the system is hospitable to it. This training shows you how to recognize those conditions and what it means to release them. You will also work with a core statement of the model: people do not suffer who they are, they suffer who they think they are.
What You Will Learn
Understand how cognitive and relational patterns form and sustain themselves
Identify the conditions that allow patterns to continue or shift
Differentiate between who a person is and who they believe themselves to be
Observe thoughts, emotions, and reactions with clarity and precision
Examine patterns without narrowing too quickly
How You Will Work
Engage in live demonstrations and guided exercises
Practice real-time observation and analysis of cognitive processes
Apply the model to real-life and clinical scenarios
Use structured self-examination to strengthen awareness and precision
Professional Track (Practitioners & Graduate Students)
Apply the model directly in work with clients and patients
Strengthen clinical judgment through disciplined observation
Work with presenting concerns using clear cognitive and relational analysis
Develop a structured approach to in-session decision-making
Public Track (Personal Application)
Understand how patterns of thought and identity shape experience
Observe and work with emotional and cognitive reactions
Apply the model to relationships, decisions, and daily life
Develop a grounded understanding of the self without over-identification
Throughout the training, you will learn to approach the self and relational systems from a scientific position, examining patterns as observable processes rather than fixed conditions. Individuals are not confined to a system; they participate in patterns that can be identified, examined, and reorganized.
By the end of the four days, you will have a grounded understanding of Cognitive Transcendence and a clear starting point for applying it in clinical practice and daily life. This training establishes the foundation. Depth and refinement develop through continued engagement across the full training series.

AGENDA
-
Day 1 introduces the core foundations of the Cognitive Transcendence Framework. Attendees will explore the basic principles of the model, the Four Phases, and the role of emotions within the framework, with opportunities for guided practice and reflection throughout the day. Practitioner and student sessions will also extend these teachings into clinical application, including phase-based work and emotional work with clients.
-
Day 2 builds on the foundational material by turning to the egoic mind and the formation of identity. Through teaching, practice, and review, attendees will deepen their understanding of how ego and identity shape lived experience, while practitioner and student sessions will explore how these ideas can be thoughtfully applied in therapeutic settings.
-
Day 3 explores forgiveness as a lived and practical process within Cognitive Transcendence, and expands into broader themes of love, identity, freedom, and human rights. The day invites both reflection and dialogue, while practitioner and student sessions focus on applying these ideas in clinical settings, including work with polarized clients.
-
Day 4 is dedicated exclusively to practitioners and students, with a focus on clinical integration and skill development. Through case conceptualization, role play, advanced clinical scenarios, and final integration, participants will have the opportunity to consolidate their learning and deepen their practical application of the framework.

POSTER PRESENTERS
Emily Munroe
This presentation introduces Cognitive Transcendence as a developing framework that explains how individuals can move beyond the limits of their immediate thoughts by transforming the way they interpret and relate to their experiences. It introduces and explores the idea that people are not confined by events themselves, but by the meanings they assign to those events, and that through expanding awareness and understanding, the mind can transcend these limitations. By bridging ideas from cognitive psychology, the concept of the self, and even technological perspectives, this presentation provides a potential pathway toward greater mental freedom, where cognition becomes more adaptive, reflective, and capable of reshaping one’s sense of self and reality.
Suha Zakiuddin
This presentation introduces the Cognitive Transcendence journal. This reflection journal allows the writer to explore their inner world through writing and layered reflection. By revisiting past entries, writers can literally see their growth—transforming insight into a visible, evolving journey of awareness.
